Originally TRIPLE-X-RECORDS in the 1982-1983 period. I eventually changed it because a Hardcore Punk Zine admitted to me that he lifted hiz Zine Title from TRIPLE-X-RECORDS -(XXX Logo & Title). Instead ov conflict I felt confident enough to establish a Title that can not be mistaken or stolen. INNER-X-MUSICK. Which featured my solo electronic Musick :

HIDIOUS IN STRENGTH

I want to start with HIDIOUS IN STRENGTH / MAHCANIK Musicks I released on Inner-X-Musick az cassettes. The miss-Spellings are intentional. Belonging only to the concept. Plus I waz unaware with the band “THAT HIDEOUS STRENGTH” at the time. No Awareness or Influence. HIDIOUS IN STRENGTH waz my experiments outside SLEEPCHAMBER. I wanted to explore the soundscape composures with empathic like titles. A Style quite different from SLEEPCHAMBER. No great Productions. Just a popular time for Synth Industrial and small labels to release an Obscure yet underground free style ov anti-establishment attitudes.

HIDIOUS IN STRENGTH az a unit contained up to four members at times.-(Mostly Live)- No more than 5-times. (in Boston). Below iz a very early. Possibly the first Line-Up at a outdoor event that welcomed HIDIOUS IN STRENGTH because ov a shortage ov live entertainment. Some loved it. Most found it too unfamiliar and disturbing. Remember this waz the early 1980s …. Improved mostly. Yet a ‘Set List’ existed.           Live 9/4/83 . BAND- Eugene Difrancisco, Phil Brosseau and John Zewizz.

“Nun with a Gun” waz the first HIDIOUS IN STRENGTH track rekorded. Some ov the other Live Titles are from the first cassette-1993- “LINE OF SOULS”. A collection ov sound pieces I rekorded in a gloomy and melancholy atmosphere.                 BATH OV YENTHA- iz a piece on the Oracle YENTHA. Its the Insight distraction to the rest ov the material. Witch iz dark and captures our inner fears ov Erotick innocence and Pleasure.

LINE OF SOULS -(1983 1st Cassette)-

“WAR SOUL” … iz a piece on the reflection ov the joy before the nature ov WAR.

“BREAKTHROUGH” … iz the Struggle and Betrayal ov Humanity.

“GENOCIDE” …. The Poisoned ones who deceide who Lives and who Diez.

“THE STORM” … iz the Fight. The Resistance. What Force that Refuses Apsolute Control.

“THE WEEPING” …when the Ghosts ov the Dead sigh …….

NUN WITH A GUN waz another 1983 cassette release. It waz the first studio release ov “NUN WITH A GUN”. Later it waz released on the 1st INNER-X-MUSICK vinyl compilation ov INNER-X-ARTIST. (XXX-LP- 1) 1883.

                  Obvious iz the more electronic atmosphere in cassette NUN WITH A GUN. Less organic and less dark. The natural evolution. Most material iz just synth experimental improv. I managed to release a prolific amount ov Musick in 1993 & 1994. Between HIDIOUS IN STRENGTH, SLEEPCHAMBER and WOMEN OF THE SS … it forces even me to comprehend my efforts to the drive I maintained in the instinct to understand the expressionism ov Musick. I have explored and learned much ov a unique insight to the potential ov Musick and its compositions after their release and my study ov Industrial and experimental Musicks.

“EYES SEE TO THIS” ~ Rekorded at INNERSLEEVE GALLERY 12/1984          At the closing ov my record store INNERSLEEVE RECORDS – Allston, Mass. I started to have Live Industrial shows in the back ov the store. Featured artist included : HIDIOUS IN STRENGTH, 7-FROM LIFE, WOMEN OF THE SS, COUP DE GRACE, GUM, SLEEPCHAMBER, and other local Industrial bands. HIDIOUS IN STRENGTH~ International Testing – 1985 cassette STRANGER DAYS

I waz more into the Si Fi soundtrack stage, I loved the oblique automaton moods. I waz drawn to the cold electronic moods ov fantastick futures. What had gone wrong. The new sounds and soulless emotions I imagined in my mind. We all sense it. I only expressed what anyone with the Insight to follow and study human culture can predict the probable outkums. STRANGER DAYS waz all about the sounds and emotions ov Our Futures.    A reflection into Our own demise. A Rare example ov me using HIDIOUS IN STRENGTH material to feed to SLEEPCHAMBER. Az you will quickly hear the backing track to more well known SLEEPCHAMBER track “Leviathan” from the 1987 release SEXMAGICK RITUAL. And not the only time either. I took “Shadows in the Valley” track and retitled / remastered it for the SLEEPCHAMBER CD release “Secrets ov 23″ retitled it “23 PSAM”. In both instances the both trax received more appreciation under SLEEPCHAMBER.

                    I made a video for another track from STRANGER DAYS. ”Underwater Identification Process”. Its only video-feedback. Yet works with the mood energy ov the Musick.
